DELTA MAN

In the Man of the Delta room, the Museum of the Sea presents people from the riverside communities, where visitors have the opportunity to take a closer look at the lifestyle of fishermen, shellfish gatherers and lace makers, who with their work tools, products and handicrafts, mirror the riches of their region to the world.

GALLERIES

The two visual arts galleries for temporary exhibitions are named Testa Branca and Amarração, representing the first fishing villages that later became Parnaíba and Luís Correia.

NATURE OF THE DELTA

In the Delta Nature room, the museum brings a representation of the Environmental Protection Area of the Parnaíba Delta region and presents, in addition to the region's beaches, the most recurrent specimens of fauna and flora, with emphasis on the original-size replicas , skeletons of a 9m Sperm Whale, a Manatee and a Gray Dolphin.

THEATRO BENJAMIM SANTOS

Theater with capacity for up to 40 people, where the public can enjoy cinema, shows and training activities. The equipment is named after the playwright Benjamim Santos, son of Parnaíba. He stands out for being one of the greatest exponents of Brazilian theater drama for children and he was a great cultural producer in the national artistic scene.

NAVIGATING THE DELTA

In the Delta Navigation room, the museum offers a tour of full-size vessels built by fishermen and objects associated with navigation. In addition to an exhibition about the Captaincy of Ports, you also have access, through a timeline, to period photos.

PARQUE DAS RUÍNAS

Old preserved ruins that received landscaping, with two boats and scenic lighting that allows artistic presentations, private events and leisure time.
